Decimal Question
Decimal is a Number type on the unified Number / Money question — it lets you collect numeric values with decimal places, e.g. 2.55.
When you add a question and choose Number / Money from the question type picker, open Show more settings and set Number type to Decimal to enable decimal input.

Decimal Question Settings
Section titled “Decimal Question Settings”
- Required: Require respondents to answer this question before submitting a response.
- Number Type: Switch the accepted input values between Integer (whole number), Decimal and Currency.
- Decimal Places: Customize the number of decimal places a respondent can input (0-4).
- Min Value: Set a minimum value that can be entered.
- Max Value: Set a maximum value that can be entered.
- Prefix: Add a word, letter, number or symbol to appear before the input value.
- Postfix: Add a word, letter, number or symbol to appear after the input value.
- Link to Contact detail: Map this question to a Contact field so answers are saved back to the respondent’s Contact record instead of just the response data (the current equivalent of the old “Personal Info” toggle; see Pseudonymization for handling sensitive answers).
- Numbered: Enable/disable the question numbering.
Decimal Results
Section titled “Decimal Results”
The below data will be available for Decimal question types:
- Average: The average value of all respondent inputs.
- Min: The smallest value input.
- Max: The largest value input.
- Response count: The total number of responses for this question.
- Numeric responses: A list of all individual answers (displayed below aggregated data).
