Integrations
The API paths and authentication are the same for both products; only the hostname changes.
These guides show how to connect Shout to external reporting, automation and data platforms using the public REST API. They are separate from connected-app actions configured inside Shout, where a customer can choose a service for a form or inbox automation.
If you want to send responses to an app without writing any code, use Actions instead — you connect the app once and build the automation from a menu of outcomes.
Connected-app automations may send form responses, contact or inbox data to the selected service, including creating or updating records. Send test makes a real change in the selected destination. If a run fails or its outcome is unknown, retrying can repeat an earlier write. Disconnecting an app stops future runs but does not remove records already sent to that service.
Each integration uses a tenant-scoped API key. Create a separate least-privilege, read-only key for each integration and revoke it when it is no longer needed.
Available integrations
Section titled “Available integrations”- Power BI — import form responses into Power BI using Power Query and the Shout REST API. This is separate from the native Power BI connected-app action, which can write automation rows to a selected Power BI destination.
