How to Make Responses Anonymous

Responses to your survey, form, or quiz will automatically be anonymous. However, responses will not be anonymous if you’ve done one of two things:

  • Enabled Tracking
  • Used a Contact Details element

This feature will track responses that were collected using the Email Invitations method of distribution. Tracking is enabled from the Invitation tracking section when you send a Survey Invitation campaign from the Send tab (checked on by default).

For more information on this, you can read our Tracked Responses article.

When respondents fill out any of the following items, their information will be collected and stored in your Report:

  • Contact Form — now labelled Compact Contact Form in the question picker
  • Zip/ Post Code Lookup — now labelled Address Lookup in the question picker
  • Email Address Field — labelled Email address in the question picker
  • Web Address Field — no longer a standalone element; apply the Web Address Input Limitation to a Text Box question instead
  • Full Name and Telephone number — also found under Contact Details in the question picker, and just as identifying as the items above
