Why Don't My Results Add Up to 100%?

It may appear that the percentages next to each answer add up to slightly more or less than 100%, but this is due to the fact that each percentage is rounded to the nearest whole number for display.

For example, if a question has 3 respondents split evenly across 3 answers, each answer is exactly 33.33% — but the report displays 33%, 33%, and 33%, which adds up to 99%. With a different split, rounding can just as easily push the total to 101% or more. Either way, the underlying response counts (shown alongside each percentage) are always exact — only the displayed percentage is rounded.
