What Type of Projects Can I Create?

Create surveys to collect feedback and data, make quizzes with automatic scoring, and build calculators to give respondents a quote or estimate.

In the app these are all called Forms — “project” is the older name for the same thing, and you’ll still see it in a few places (like URLs). Every form you create has a Form type: Survey, Quiz, or Calculator, chosen when you set it up (this can’t be changed afterwards, so pick the closest fit and start from scratch if you need to switch).

You can also build first-class email invitation campaigns to distribute these forms.

Choose from over 20 question types to create a survey that collects the feedback you need to drive your business or the data you need to power your research.

Survey examples:

  • Customer Satisfaction
  • Employee Happiness
  • 360 Degree Feedback
  • Net Promoter Score
  • Qualitative and Quantitative Research

If you want a guide on creating and customizing surveys, take a look at the following help doc:

Contact and consent forms aren’t a separate form type any more — build them the same way you’d build a survey, then add a Contact Details question block to collect a range of personal information from respondents, including:

  • Name(s)
  • Address
  • Email
  • Phone number
  • Company/ Business information

Here are some docs to help you build specific forms with our tools:

If you’re collecting survey data and contact information, but want your form to remain anonymous, you can use our Pseudonymization feature (Build → Settings → Privacy & Security). This will separate survey responses from personally identifiable information (PII) in your reports.

Apply points to a range of question types and put your respondents’ knowledge to the test. Scores are calculated automatically on a dedicated Score/Marking exit page, where you can choose to display Page totals or Individual question scores, and switch on Feedback text to personalize the message a quiz taker sees based on their result.

Under Build → Settings → Quiz you can also set a Time Limit (in minutes — the quiz auto-submits when time is up), and turn on Answer Feedback to show whether each answer was correct or incorrect as the respondent goes (single-question navigation mode only), plus a toggle to reveal the correct answer after a wrong one.

Build an interactive calculator that turns respondent answers into a computed quote, estimate, or score — handy for pricing tools, eligibility checks, or ROI calculators. Add a formula that references your questions, and show the result (with optional conditional messages) on the exit page.

Whichever type of form you choose to create, you will have access to a range of customization settings and features.

You can find these options under the Theme tab in the side menu of any form builder (see Customizing Themes).

From this tab, you’ll be able to:

  • Choose a theme and Change Theme Colors
  • Set Background Images
  • Change question and title colors
  • Select a Font

You can also create fully customizable email invitation campaigns for any of the above form types. Go to the Send tab of your form, and you’ll find Send email invitations with everything you need to get started.

The email block editor is easy-to-use, but take a look at some of these docs for a little help:

Please note, you’ll first need to import contacts to the app before you’re able to send any email invitations:
