Exit and Thank You Pages

These are the last Pages that respondents will see before they exit your form. They’re simply a way to thank respondents for their time, and/or inform them of their disqualification.

A Thank You page will automatically be included in your form, but you are able to delete, replace, and edit this. (Quiz-type forms get a default exit page called “Marking” instead, set to the Score/Marking page type described below.)

When you add an Exit Page it defaults to Standard (with advertising). Open its Exit page type dropdown to switch to one of these:

  • Standard (with advertising): Contains only a thank you message and your logo (if you inserted one), plus a small “Create your own interactive content with Shout.com” advert.
  • Design custom page: This allows you to insert any content blocks (headings, images, embeds, and more) onto the Exit Page.
  • Redirect to web address: Sends respondents who finish your form to a predetermined location.
  • Score/Marking page: Only shown as an option on Quiz-type forms. Shows respondents a final score, with a Score display setting (Page totals or Individual question scores) and an optional Feedback text toggle.

  1. Go to the Form tab
  2. Click the icon next to any page title (or use the + Page shortcut underneath it)
  3. Select ‘Add page’
  4. Choose ‘Exit Page’

  1. Open the Form tab
  2. Navigate to your Exit page by clicking its title in the Exit pages list
  3. Open the Exit page type dropdown that appears under the title in the sidebar panel
  4. Select a new Exit page type.

  1. Go to the Form tab
  2. Click the ⋮ icon next to any page title
  3. Select ‘Delete page’
  4. Confirm your selection in the “Are you sure you want to delete this page and its contents?” dialog

Deleting a page will remove all its contents from your form, including any questions on it. The ‘Delete page’ option is disabled while it’s the only page of its kind (Question or Exit) in the form — add a second one first if you need to remove it.

By using Page Logic, you can create qualification questions that determine whether a respondent will be required to complete your entire form. The disqualification pages are those that respondents are sent to if respondents do not qualify. You could direct all respondents to a singular Thank You page, or send them to individual pages — if you add more than one Exit page, the builder shows a reminder that “Only one exit page will be displayed, you can choose which dynamically using logic.” See the links below for more information on how to achieve this:
