Survey and Form Settings
We provide a number of settings to improve not only your survey building experience but also participants’ completion process.
Open a project and select Settings in the left-hand toolbar of the builder. Settings are grouped into five collapsible sections — click a section heading to expand it:

Appearance
Section titled “Appearance”Remove branding: By default, all projects contain our branding. Enabling this (also called White label) will remove this branding from surveys, quizzes and emails.
Show progress bar: Show or hide the progress bar at the top of your form, and choose its position style (e.g. Compact). Toggled on by default.
Highlight next question (auto-scroll): Automatically scrolls to and highlights the next question to be answered. Toggled on by default.
Automatic Numbering: Gives questions numbers automatically. Toggled on by default. You can also toggle numbering for individual questions — for more on this see our guide to the Question Quick Menu.
Privacy & Security
Section titled “Privacy & Security”Pseudonymization: This feature allows you to separate personally identifiable information (PII) from survey/quiz/form responses in your results. Allowing for complete anonymity of responses, whilst retaining a list.
Password Protection: Require participants to enter a password before they can complete your project. Enter your chosen password directly into the Password field in this section — leave it blank if you don’t want a password.

Prevent Duplicate Responses: This option limits the number of responses per computer to one, using cookies.
Cookies are packets of data sent to a browser by an internet server. Each time that user accesses the same server they are identified or tracked.
Preventing duplicate responses will stop the same respondent from completing your project more than once, therefore sustaining the integrity of your results.
Language
Section titled “Language”Built-in survey messages (Next Page, Finish Survey, error and validation text, and so on) now automatically display in the participant’s language across 54 languages — no further configuration is required.
Completion & Notifications
Section titled “Completion & Notifications”Edit After Completed: When using the Tracking feature, you can use this setting to allow respondents to edit their responses once they have submitted their completed response.
If a participant feels they have made a mistake, provided incorrect information, or have simply changed their opinion concerning a subject, this option is a useful way to sanction some flexibility in changing their answer choices.
Email Notifications: Receive an instant email notification when a new response is submitted to your form.
Create Inbox Conversation: Automatically creates a conversation in your Inbox when a response is submitted. Requires a Contact email address question in the form. Toggled on by default.
Contact Saving
Section titled “Contact Saving”Contacts collected from this form can be saved to your contact list automatically — pick one or more Groups to add respondents to. Once in a group, you can email them, pre-fill or update their details, record GDPR consents, and collect e-signatures. To keep a form for responses-only, leave all groups unselected.
