How to Change the Color of the Physical Address Default Merge Tag

You may notice that you are unable to edit the physical address merge tag in the footer of your email directly, as you would be able to with any other content block.

This is because this merge tag is required for your email to be compliant with industry standards. However, this does not mean that you’re unable to customize the colors and fonts for it.

Customize the design of the physical address merge tag

To change the color and font of the physical address merge tag, you will need to edit the global settings of your email.

To do this, click Body in the left sidebar of the email builder (while in the Content step of your campaign).

Change the color of the physical address

In the Body section, you will find an option for text color.

Click the color box and select a color for your physical address.

Please note, this will apply color for all text in your email. You can apply colors to individual sections via the options for each block if you would like varying text colors in your email.

Caution

Making your physical address color the same as your background color is a violation of our terms. Attempting to mask this information will lead to your mail privileges being suspended and the possibility of further action being taken against your account.

Change the font of the physical address

In the Body section, you will find a font family option.

Click the dropdown to select a font from the list.

This will also apply the font to all text in your email. To override this for other sections of text, you can apply fonts to individual sections via the text block options menu.
