Deleting Results
You can delete one response, several selected responses, or every response collected by a project. Deleted responses cannot be recovered.
Delete selected responses
Section titled “Delete selected responses”Use the Responses table to delete one or more responses without clearing the whole dataset:
- Go to Results for the project.
- Open Responses in the left rail.
- Use the checkboxes on the left of the table to select the response or responses you want to remove.
- Click Delete.
- Review the confirmation and complete the deletion.
If a selected response is connected to a contact, the confirmation also lets you choose whether to delete that connected contact from your Contacts list. Deleting the response does not require you to delete the contact.
Deleting a response removes every answer submitted as part of that response. You cannot remove one question’s answer while retaining the rest of the same response.
For more information about finding and reviewing responses, see How to View Individual and Tracked Responses.
Clear all responses
Section titled “Clear all responses”Clear the entire results list for a project from Forms, without opening it.
- Go to Forms.
- Click the project you want to clear results for. It expands in place into the Project Menu.
- Click Clear results.
- Confirm by clicking Delete All Responses, or cancel to keep the responses.
Use the project menu’s Clear results option to remove all responses. This action cannot be undone.
Tip: The same menu (including Clear results) is also available from the Home page — click Form actions on a project’s card there instead of opening Forms.
Can deleted responses be restored?
Section titled “Can deleted responses be restored?”No. Once you delete responses — whether one response, a selection, or the whole results list — you cannot retrieve them. This is separate from deleting the project itself: a deleted project can be restored for about a month, but deleted responses are gone immediately and permanently.
