How to Randomize the Answer Order

By default, answers will appear in the order you wrote them. Randomizing your answer order will decrease any chance of order bias, and will improve the quality of your results. Having a random answer order will reduce bias in your project.

You can access this feature through the Question Settings Bar.

Note

This setting is only available for Multiple-Choice, Dropdown, and Picture Choice questions.

Applying Answer Randomization

1. Go to the Builder
2. Click a question
3. In the Question Settings Bar, click ‘Show more settings’
4. Enable the switch for ‘Randomize’

The answer options will now be randomized for respondents.

Note

Note: ‘Randomize’ is tucked under ‘Show more settings’ now, alongside options like ‘Other’ text choice — it isn’t shown by default next to Required and Numbered.

Removing Answer Randomization

1. Go to the Builder
2. Click a question
3. Click ‘Show more settings’ if the panel is collapsed
4. Disable the switch ‘Randomize’ OFF
